Meet Meet Lauren Johnson: Helping Women Reclaim Their Time and Career Path
By Teresa Howes | Twine Featured Founder Interview
Lauren Johnson knows firsthand how easy it is to get swept up in the corporate pace. Chasing every project, saying yes to every opportunity, and losing sight of the bigger picture. Out of that experience, she built LeadHER Coaching, a practice designed to help women in business, whether solopreneurs or corporate leaders, reclaim ownership of their time and align their work with long-term goals.
“I recognize that life moves really quickly. We don’t often pause and ask, What am I working toward, and does this actually align with my long-term goals? My coaching is about creating that space for reflection, while giving women the accountability they need to take back ownership of their time.”
Through her work, Lauren helps women slow down long enough to reconnect with their priorities, discover what really matters, and move forward with clarity. It’s less about doing more and more about doing what matters most.
From Corporate Coaching to Coaching Others
Lauren’s spark for entrepreneurship came while she was still deep in her corporate career. When her company offered executive coaching as a benefit, she discovered how transformative it could be.
“It was through that experience that I realized how valuable coaching really was. And that I wasn’t in tune with what I was working toward or why. The part of my career I enjoyed most was helping others gain that same clarity.”
That realization shifted her career trajectory. What started as an investment in her own leadership skills quickly evolved into a calling to guide others, planting the first seeds of what would become LeadHER Coaching.
A Gradual Leap into Entrepreneurship
Like many early stage founders, Lauren dreams of going full-time with her business. But she’s intentionally taking a steady approach.
“This is absolutely my long-term goal, but I believe in eating the Tyrannosaurus Rex one bite at a time. Staying in my corporate role helps me stay current with industry trends and makes me more relatable to my clients.”
By balancing her career with her growing practice, she models the very strategies she teaches: patience, balance, and progress over perfection. Her path is proof that growth doesn’t have to come from leaping overnight. It can be built step by step with intention.
The Joy (and Challenge) of Coaching
For Lauren, the best part of her work is witnessing transformation.
“My favorite moments are when clients have those ‘aha’ realizations that what they thought was impossible is actually within reach. It’s watching them step into their own solutions and realize they had it all along.”
Those breakthroughs fuel her passion, reminding her that true change comes from within. Still, she admits that resisting the urge to hand people the answers can be challenging. But it’s also what makes coaching so powerful and enduring.
Building Tools for the Future
LeadHER Coaching is still young, but Lauren is already thinking ahead. She’s developing self-serve tools and resources to meet women where they are, especially those who don’t have time for weekly coaching. She’s also certified in Linc, a professional assessment framework widely used in Europe, which gives clients a 360-degree view of their strengths, motivations, and opportunities.
“Sometimes people just need a quick, science-backed framework to understand where they are right now and how to move forward. My goal is to make those insights more accessible.”
By pairing coaching with accessible tools, she hopes to empower even more women to take action. Whether they’re ready for one-on-one support or just beginning to explore their growth journey.
The Power of Community
Lauren credits much of her growth to her support system; her coaching peers and especially the women in her broader professional network.
“My certification cohort has been amazing—we still do barter coaching to sharpen each other’s skills. But I also learn so much from women in the workplace outside of coaching. Hearing their real challenges helps me design tools that are practical and relevant.”
Her community not only keeps her grounded but also sharpens her approach, ensuring her coaching reflects the lived experiences of women today. She believes collaboration and connection are essential ingredients for growth. Both in life and business.
How to Support & Benefit From Lauren’s Practice
Lauren invites the community to share their daily challenges with her, so she can continue to refine LeadHER Coaching in ways that matter most. Referrals are also deeply appreciated. Connecting her with women who want to reclaim their time, clarify their goals, and lead with confidence.
By supporting her mission, you’re helping to create a ripple effect: women who feel more empowered, aligned, and intentional. Bringing balance and leadership to every corner of their lives.
