Meet Jessica Reid: Helping Local Businesses Get Seen Without Losing Control
By Teresa Howes | Twine Featured Founder Interview
Some entrepreneurs chase growth at all costs. Others focus on understanding the systems behind it so they can grow with confidence.
Jessica Reid belongs firmly in the second camp.
Founder of Jes Reid Marketing, Jessica helps local, service-based businesses grow through paid ads and education. Her work is rooted in one core belief: business owners should understand their marketing, not feel intimidated by it.
She works with founders who are talented, capable, and deeply invested in their work, but stuck relying on word of mouth or overwhelmed by platforms like Meta Ads Manager. Her goal is not to take over. It is to empower.
“My passion is helping small businesses understand ads so they don’t have to hand off control.”
From Hair to Headlines
Jessica’s entrepreneurial story did not start in marketing. It started with her hands.
She spent nearly two decades in the hair industry and previously owned an outdoor fitness business. Self-employment was never a phase for her. It was a pattern.
When back pain forced her to step away from doing hair full-time, she began exploring alternatives. Online courses introduced her to digital marketing and paid ads. She tested what she learned on her own hair business first. The results worked.
Then her phone started ringing.
Friends in the beauty industry wanted help. Then friends of friends. Eventually, what began as problem-solving turned into a business.
“I’ve seen ads work for my hair business, for friends, and now I teach others to do the same.”
Ads With Heart and Clarity
Jessica offers ad management for businesses that are already running ads successfully and want to scale. But education is where she shines.
She teaches small business owners how ads actually work so they can make informed decisions, understand what they are paying for, and grow more consistently.
“Whether I’m running ad campaigns or coaching entrepreneurs, I want founders to feel empowered, not overwhelmed by their own growth.”
She understands why ads feel intimidating. She has been there herself. Her approach removes fear, replaces confusion with clarity, and gives founders language and confidence around their marketing.
The Hardest Part of Growth
Like many women in business, Jessica says the hardest part is not strategy. It is boundaries.
Time management, availability, and the pressure to always respond are ongoing challenges. She is actively refining how she sets expectations with clients so her business can grow without consuming her entire life.
“Get a mentor. Take the shortcut. Don’t try to figure everything out on your own.”
That advice comes from experience. Jessica credits mentorship with helping her move faster, avoid unnecessary mistakes, and trust herself sooner.
What She’s Building Now
Jessica is currently creating both entry-level and advanced courses designed to help business owners run ads with confidence on their own. The goal is sustainable growth without dependency.
She is intentionally building systems that support long-term freedom, for herself and for the founders she works with.
“Businesses don’t close because they’re bad. They close because no one knew about them.”
Her mission is visibility with integrity. Helping good businesses get seen so they can stay open, serve their communities, and grow on their own terms.
How You Can Benefit From Jessica’s Expertise
Whether you are just starting to explore ads or ready to scale what is already working, Jessica offers a practical, grounded approach that puts knowledge back in your hands.
She works best with local, service-based businesses that want growth without confusion, pressure, or hype.
