Meet Kate Rosenberg: Breaking Barriers and Building Careers with Purpose

By Teresa Howes | Twine Featured Founder Interview

When it comes to helping women shatter career ceilings, Kate Rosenberg is the real deal. As the founder of Shattered Glass Coaching, Kate empowers corporate women to advocate for themselves, navigate transitions, and step into leadership with confidence.

“I started Shattered Glass Coaching to help women in corporate settings learn how to market themselves, ask for what they deserve, and stop playing small.”

From the Classroom to the Boardroom

Kate’s path to entrepreneurship wasn’t a straight line, it was a story of alignment. After teaching with Teach for America and spending over a decade in leadership and development roles, she realized her favorite part of every job had one thing in common: coaching people toward their potential.

“I got to the point where I was tired of working for other people. I realized that what I loved most about my work was helping others grow. So I decided to build something that would let me do that full-time.”

In 2020, at 30 years old, with a flexible lifestyle free from children or a mortgage, Kate took the leap. She got certified as a life coach, quit her job during the height of COVID, and launched her business from scratch. What began with former colleagues and friends has grown into a thriving practice serving women nationwide.

The Power of Purpose

For Kate, coaching isn’t just about finding a new job. It’s about redefining how women show up in their careers. Her clients are often navigating layoffs, career pivots, or leadership transitions. But they share one goal: to take control of their professional stories.

“I love when my clients come back to me and say, ‘I landed my dream job’ or ‘I finally got the raise I deserved.’ Knowing I helped change someone’s life like that, it’s the best feeling in the world.”

That fulfillment is matched by freedom. Today, Kate and her husband, also self-employed, design a life on their own terms, often working remotely and traveling when they choose.

“We can live and work wherever we want. That flexibility is one of the greatest gifts of running your own business.”

At the core of everything Kate does is her belief that women shouldn’t have to sacrifice their well-being for their success. Her coaching approach blends mindset, strategy, and confidence-building. Helping clients step into rooms they once thought were off-limits.

“I want women to feel powerful in their choices, not pressured by them.  You can have ambition and balance, and you don’t have to compromise who you are to get there.”

Lessons from the Glass Ceiling

Like many founders, Kate has learned that being your own boss means wearing every hat, marketer, CFO, admin, and strategist. While she’s mastered the art of consistency (her social media content is as sharp as it is helpful), she admits that building a team is the next big step.

“There’s always more to do. More ideas, more people to reach, more impact to make. I’m learning to scale sustainably while still keeping that one-on-one connection that makes coaching so powerful.”

She’s also honest about what coaching isn’t.

“You can’t fix someone’s problems for them. True coaching helps people find their own answers so they can make empowered decisions that align with their values.”

What She’s Building Now

After five years of steady growth, Kate is expanding her impact with two major projects: a group coaching program to make her services more accessible, and her first book, slated for release in early 2026.

“It’s written for professional women, not just job seekers, and it distills the best of my coaching into a practical guide for career clarity and confidence.”

A Twine book launch event is already in the works for 2026.

Her Advice to a Younger Founder

If she could go back to 2020 and have coffee with her newly minted founder self, Kate knows exactly what she’d say.

“Be patient and trust the journey. It won’t look the way you think it will, but that’s okay. Focus on serving your clients with excellence, and everything else will take care of itself.”

How You Can Benefit From Kate’s Expertise

Whether you (or another amazing woman you know) are exploring a career change, stepping into leadership, or rebuilding after a layoff, Kate helps professional women rewrite their stories with strategy and self-trust. Her coaching blends mindset, career design, and practical action so you can step confidently into your next chapter.
